Teli Ka Mandir, Gwalior

Teli Ka Mandir, Gwalior

Protected by ASI, this is an ancient temple built on the Gwalior Fort. It was built by the Pratihar dynasty of North India, a dynasty which rose out of the ruins of the Gupta Empire. The temple is considered around 1200 years old, though no fix date is assigned to it. It is very important from the point of view of temple architecture in India, as it represents a strange fusing of the north Indian and the South Indian architectural styles.
