Ancient Baphuon Shiva Temple from Cambodia

Ancient Baphuon Shiva Temple from Cambodia
Dated: ~11th century CE
It is a three-tiered temple mountain built as the state temple of Udayadityavarman II dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. It is the archetype of the Baphuon style. The temple adjoins the southern enclosure of the royal palace and measures 120 metres east-west by 100 metres north-south at its base and stands 34 meters tall without its tower, which would have made it roughly 50 meters tall. Its appearance apparently impressed Emperor Chengzong of Yuan China's late 13th century envoy Chou Ta-Kuan during his visit from 1296 to 1297, who said it was 'the Tower of Bronze...a truly astonishing spectacle, with more than ten chambers at its base.'

Kalyani at ancient Bhoganandishwar Temple

Kalyani at ancient Bhoganandishwar Temple(c. 9th century CE)
Symmetry of pond created by ancient Vishwakarma masons is simply stunning!
Enclosed in its own prakara measuring 112.8m x 76.2m with double mahadvara, this complex consists of twin temples dedicated to Siva as Bhoganandisvara (north) and Arunachalesvara (south). Between the two is a small intervening shrine. Each temple consists of a garbhagriha, a sukanasi and a navaranga. Both sukanasi and navaranga are provided with sculptured jalis. Both temples have individual nandimandapas in front.
In between the two shrines is a kalyanamandapa built of black stone intricately carved with creepers and birds, even excelling the meticulously worked Hoysala specimens. The prakara has two Devi shrines and other related structures like vasantamandapa tulabharamandapa and a square stepped tank

Teli Ka Mandir, Gwalior

Teli Ka Mandir, Gwalior

Protected by ASI, this is an ancient temple built on the Gwalior Fort. It was built by the Pratihar dynasty of North India, a dynasty which rose out of the ruins of the Gupta Empire. The temple is considered around 1200 years old, though no fix date is assigned to it. It is very important from the point of view of temple architecture in India, as it represents a strange fusing of the north Indian and the South Indian architectural styles.
